New guide connects consumers with sustainable food producers

Good Food Farmers, Producers & Purveyors Guide curated by chefs featured on Good Food 100 Restaurants list

More and more farmers, producers and purveyors are shifting their business models in response to the Covid-19 pandemic and focusing on direct-to-consumer sales via online ordering, curbside pick- up, community supported agriculture (CSA’s) and produce boxes to keep their businesses afloat.

To help these food providers make ends meet, Good Food Media Network (GFMN) has rolled out its Good Food Farmers, Producers & Purveyors Guide, which will be updated weekly.

“The COVID-19 crisis is testing all aspects of our daily lives including our food system. We want to use the current situation as a catalyst to increase transparency between and among sellers and buyers in order to help support good food providers,” said Sara Brito, co-founder and president of GFMN, which publishes the Good Food 100 Restaurants list.

The guide, which is curated by chefs featured on the Good Food 100 Restaurants list, includes more than 50 farmers, ranchers, distributors and purveyors from across the United States, including several producers and purveyors committed to a sustainable food system such as White Oak Pastures, Croft Family Farm, Good Shepherd Poultry, Niman Ranch, PrairiErth Farm, and Produce Express-Distributor, among others.
