Organic baby food maker jumps into competitive industry

Calif.-based manufacturer sells product online

Baby Cubes & More, Inc. Tuesday said its initial product, NAMI, organic, frozen vegetable and fruit cubes, is now being sold online, delivered direct to consumers.

Each bag contains ten 1 ounce servings of pureed organic Vegetables, that have been conveniently frozen into cubes for easy preparation and mixing.The San Jose, Calif.,-based company’s NAMI product is certified 100 percent organic by Oregon Tilth, the nation’s most seasoned certifier.

No preservatives or additives are used in production. There are 10 cubes in each individual bag sold. The bags are tamper resistant and can be resealed. The cubes will maintain their freshness for up to six months when stored in their original bag in the freezer.

Development is already underway for new products designed for older babies and toddlers. Expansion into retail stores is also on the drawing board, slated for early next year.

The company was originally founded in 2001 as Mediscor Consulting Services, Inc., with a health care focus, the company officially changed its name to Baby Cubes & More, Inc. in early 2006.
